9 Miami-Area Things to Do This Weekend — August 14–16, 2026

This morning’s Miami Events digest surfaced nine ideas for Friday through Sunday, from history and family activities to music, fitness, cars, and a bike tour. I checked the most material schedule and location details against current organizer or venue information where available instead of treating the email as the final word.

One item—the Hendrick’s cocktail masterclass—has a date/time conflict across current listings, so I’m flagging that clearly below. Event schedules, ticketing, age rules, parking, and availability can change, so confirm directly before heading out.

Branded Miami weekend planner with nine events across Friday August 14 through Sunday August 16, 2026

Friday, August 14

10 AM — Family History is America’s Story: Tracing the Deering Family through Time. The digest points to Deering Estate at 16701 SW 72nd Avenue in Miami. Deering Estate currently lists the exhibition as running through October 31 with exhibit hours of 10 AM to 4 PM, so this can work as a daytime culture stop. Check the estate’s current admission information before visiting.

7 PM — CityPlace Live! Show Fountain at CityPlace Doral. The digest highlights 7 PM, while a current published schedule lists fountain shows from 7 PM to 10 PM on the hour. That gives you some flexibility if dinner or traffic shifts the evening.

7:30 PM — Salon Series: Syncopate Collective at the Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center, 10950 SW 211th Street. The Miami Events digest points to Friday at 7:30 PM, and the Moss Center currently confirms the Salon Series runs August 14–16 at the venue. Confirm the specific performance time and ticket availability before going.

8 PM — Hendrick’s Marvelous Cocktail Masterclass, listed by the digest at 1635 NW 107th Avenue in Doral. This one needs an extra check: another current event listing shows a Hendrick’s masterclass at the same Total Wine location on Saturday, August 15. Because the date/time information conflicts, verify directly with the organizer or venue before planning around it.

Saturday, August 15

9 AM — National Relaxation Day: Yoga & Mimosas at A Love Story, 8800 SW 56th Street in Miami. A current event listing confirms a 9 AM to 11 AM window at A Love Story Winery & Bistro. Check the current ticket page for pricing and remaining space.

4 PM — Karaoke in the Park at Harris Field Park. The Miami Events digest and a current event listing both point to Saturday afternoon at 4 PM. If you’re considering it, confirm the organizer’s latest weather or park updates that day.

7:30 PM — Studio 102 at 29 NE 11th Street in Miami. A current organizer listing places the event at E11EVEN Miami from 7:30 PM to 11:30 PM and identifies it as 21+. Confirm admission requirements and ticket availability before heading downtown.

Sunday, August 16

8 AM — Cars and Coffee Miami at Miami International Mall in Doral. The event’s current site lists the August 16 gathering at Miami International Mall and an 8 AM to 11 AM morning window, with parking handled first come. If cars are your thing, this is the early-start option on the list.

10 AM — Gables Bike Tours, starting at the Coral Gables Museum, 285 Aragon Avenue. The City of Coral Gables currently lists the August 16 tour from 10 AM to noon with a Montgomery Botanical Center theme. The city page says participants should bring their own bikes and lists current admission information, so check that page before you ride.

A quick planning note

Miami weekends can change fast: weather, parking, capacity, tickets, age restrictions, and organizer schedules can all move. I’d use this list to pick one or two ideas, then verify the organizer or venue information the same day you plan to attend.
